Mustang - The Forbidden Kingdom (19 days in Nepal)
 
This special 19 days trek has been designed to take around some of the highest mountains and some of the most holy Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in the world. The trek starts with a flight to Phaplu and passes through beautiful Sherpa villages of Junbesi, Namche, Thame, Kunde and Khumjung to Thyangboche in the lap of the highest mountains on earth. However, the trip is not only about mountains. In its spiritual aspect it will visit the most important Tibetan Buddhist Monasteries in this part of the world where you will have the opportunity of meeting locals as well as monks who live and study and meditate in among these giants of the Himalaya.

Beautiful, multi-hued prayer flags, prayer wheels and intricately carved Mani stones line every hilltop, rock wall and trail side singing prayers to the gods with every breeze and every passing traveller.

Landing at the air strip of Phaplu, set off up the Dudh Kosi Valley to discover and learn about the Sherpa way of life.

The trip visits the villages and monasteries of Phaplu, Junbesi, Ringmo, Kharikhola, Surkhe, Namche, Thame, Khunde and Khumjung, Phortse, Pangboche and Thyangboche.

The monasteries at Phaplu (Cheong), Thame and Thyangboche are sites of the Mani Rimdu Festivals

Descend the valley back to Lukla filled with impressions of monumental peaks, images of Tibetan Buddhism in practice and the stories and legends of the Yeti. Two extra days at the end of the trek allow for delays due to weather or for additional sightseeing in fascinating Kathmandu.

Day 01 – 02 Arrive in Kathmandu and final preparation for trek
Day 03 – 21 Fly Kathmandu Phaplu , trek through the villages and monasteries of Junbesi, Ringmo, Kharikhola,, Namche and finally to Thyangboche, a beautiful village with the great views of Ama Dablam and Everest. Back to Luka via Namche.
Day 22 – 23 Fly out to Kathmandu and Depart Nepal
